Description

My first commission of the summer, a pastel drawing of a seductively beautiful Asian woman. My reference model was Kei Hoshiko.

This was supposed to just be a quick sketch, but I got a little obsessed in the coloring process and took slightly longer. Total time - about two and a half hours.

Materials: Nupastels, Arches Cover Paper.

Actual Size: approximately 10 x 15 inches.

not bad. just a light thing about face angles - it needs to be tilted a bit lower. you can normally correct that during the breakdown stage and then build on top of it. other than that is good :)

good work with the pastels. I hate using them. Nice colour tones in her skin

Thanks for the comments, everyone; and yeah, I notice that, too, now, bakatron, though unfortunately it's all ready to send out. Oh, well. A note for the future, at least. ^^

I like your choice of colours and her face most - there's something in her face and in your stile that reminds me of mediterranean

Very nice use of pastels! Reminds me of 19th century impressionism :)

Thanks, everyone.

And, um, maybe this makes me pathetic, but I don't know who Salma Hayek is. ^^;
