Description

The result of far too many long hours and late nights...the paper was so big Ithought it was going to eat me. Of course, the misfortune of a photograph instead of the original is a change not only in appearance but also scale. But this will have to do...

This is a large drawing based on a collage of photographs I made, in the foreground of which I placed a picture I took of a poor pigeon I came across late one night, or at least what remained of him.

Media: Nupastels on Arches Cover paper, 5 x 4 feet.

I like the composition and colors, but I think that the background sky needs darker colors in some areas for a better image depth. +8

Thank you so much, and heh, yes, Andy--Jones, it did take a fair bit of time. Gotta love the big works when they're finished, though.

And thank you, deManuel, though actually the original background is darker and more neutral than this...that's the pity of the reproduction. But still, thanks.
